Do you know when you really love an item(s) that you just have to keep using them over and over until you are used to it? Then you can put it where it actually was MEANT to go?
Meet my new scale, showcased below. He is supposed to be on top of my kitchen cabinets…..but seeing as I am dealing with a height restriction (I’m 5’2″) I’ll have to resort to using a chair to place Mr Scale on his perch, and I wanna look at him for awhile.
But for now, I like his temporary home. He’s rusted, cruddy and I love him. I didn’t even wipe him off before I put him in a basket. His previous owner didn’t take care of him very well, and I adore her for that. He has character, you know what I think of when I look at him?
One of these things is not like the other…You’ll have to forgive me, I’m going thru empty nest syndrome and flashing back to my “Mommy mommy mommy mom mom mom moooommmm” days.
I like the white touches…..it keeps my eye from wandering outside. Normally I like looking out in my yard… but it’s January and still, we have not had a significant snow.
My issue with this is when I can see my flower beds, I want to PLANT in my flowerbeds.
and hubby wonders why I want to re-paint the interior rooms of the house during winter.
One amazing thing that blogging has taught me about myself……is that I am not alone. Others go through this as well.
I used to think that I was the only one
the only one who re-arranged her furniture 4 to 6 times a year
re-paint the walls until she found the right color or just changed her mind
moved flowers/bushes in her garden to give them a better perch
constantly relocating things around her home
the only one who thinks if there is no dirt underneath her nails that nothing got accomplished
Maybe that’s the definition of home….a place where you can be yourself.
